About
Family-owned. Engineer-led. Twenty-plus years of polished concrete.
Concreate was founded in Powhatan, Virginia and has spent two decades turning concrete into clean, distinctive, enduring finished surfaces — for distribution centers, lobbies, family rooms, and everything in between.
Founder & President
From engineering to concrete.
Chad founded Concreate after a career that started in mechanical engineering — Virginia Military Institute, '96, followed by years designing machinery for the nuclear-service industry. He brought that engineer's mindset to the concrete trade and has spent 20+ years building Concreate into a commercial and residential polishing, staining, and surface-preparation company serving the mid-Atlantic.
In the industry, Chad served as past president of the Concrete Polishing Association of America (CPAA) before its 2016 merger into the ASCC Polishing Council, and later as past president of that successor council. He chaired the ASCC Technical Committee in 2018 and continues to serve on the Polishing Council Advisory Board today. Concreate builds in line with the council's position statements and finish-level guidance on every project.
Day-to-day, he works directly with designers, architects, general contractors, facility managers, and homeowners — every project starts and ends with him.

What we believe
Three things that haven't changed in twenty years.
Do the prep right.
A polished floor is only as good as the slab profile under it. We treat surface preparation as the project, not the prelude.
Show your work.
Submittals, mock-ups, gloss readings, joint plans. We document what we deliver so you know what you're getting before, during, and after.
Be the same crew.
Same names on the job site as on the proposal. No subbed-out surprises. The people who quote the work are the people who do the work.
Want to talk through a project?
Chad takes every initial conversation himself. Send the basics and we'll go from there.
